one feature and a piece of news
Have you ever walked into a store, found a piece of clothing that makes you eyes hurt because it’s so beautiful but when you try it on it doesn’t fit perfectly? It’s really nice and would totally work and you’ll most definitely buy it and wear it all the time, everyone will compliment you on it but you’ll never feel totally comfortable, effortlessly beautiful and “you” in it?
Well, that’s how digital photography feels for me – don’t get me wrong, I totally love it and I would never ever be were I am today if it wasn’t for it (everything I know about photography I learn on a digital camera) and I guess I would never have refelected over it if I hadn’t picked up a film camera a while ago. I was sold after the first frame, even if forgot to load the film for that initial shot. *oups!* I don’t know what it is but shooting film makes me feel alive. It makes me giggle, it forces me to live every moment and I no longer “take photos”, now I create art. I know, it sounds totally goofy and I promise I’m not under the influence of any drugs when I’m writing this: but I’m becoming a film photographer! Whiii!
And as a little film “kick-off”: today I’m published on The Wedding Chicks, with ALL FILM photos! It’s a collaboration with The Italy Girls and I’ve never been more happy about a feature. I’ll show some (film) photos next week here on the blog and if you can’t wait that long you should hurry over to our Wedding Chicks post HERE!
