I do love to talk, so much that a lot of the time I just talk to myself since everyone else is sick of listening to my high pitched voice. But I don’t mind, as long as I get to talk I’m happy. And in a few weeks me and my loud voice is jumping on a plane to Luleå….
…because I’m speaking at the largest photography convention in Northern Sweden – Norrlandsdagarna! It’s crazy – little me, several other really interesting speakers and tons of photographers. I’m speaking on Friday at 13.15 and I already bought candy to bribe the audience with so hopefully someone will laugh at my jokes. :D Ok, I’m off to find a dictionary to help me translate all the “jouuuuuhh” that they say up there…
ps. if you are going, please don’t hesitate to come up to me and say “hi” – i always love to have someone to talk to! ;)
Hurray! I’m published on the biggest wedding blog in England!
sometimes you meet people that immediately gets a special place in your heart – cute little Madelin who looks like she’s dipped in a big bowl of vintage and Maria who’s energy and love for food I simply adore both has a unique corner in mine. they run swedish only wedding blog, vintagehoneymoon.se (where I also guest blog) and we have also done this style shoot together which I’m honored to announce is featured on the biggest wedding blog in the UK today: lovemydress.com!

we had so many fantastic vendors at this shoot:
the beautiful dresses are from Lova Weddings (blue & pink) - meet Lovisa, the founder, at Bröllopsmässan Grand Hotell this weekend. she’s adorable and makes beautiful dresses with great prices!
and Ida Sjöstedt (gold) - in my opinon one of the best dress designers we have in sweden!
grooms vintage suit from Alexander Marchesan
the yummy pastries are from the girls Linda & Christina at Holy Sweet - they are fantastic and just opened up a new store in stockholm
make up by Jennie Sjöholm - you’ll find her at Fiasco
hair by Madelin Downey - she’s an expert on vintages hair do’s!
our lovely models – Maria Appelgren, Andreas La Chenardiere, Hans Sevefjord and Ebbe the dog
and of course: flowers, decor and styling by Madelin Downey & Maria Ahlin at Vintage Honeymoon ♥

And I am honored to be guest blogging there every other week about wedding photography! I’ll be talking about how to find your wedding photographer, how to get most out of your wedding photography, what to do with your wedding photos and much much more! So for all you swedish brides out there – head over to our new source of wedding inspiration CLICK HERE!
Almost a year ago I discovered something new – film photography! I know, this is not a new thing, I know, but it’s new to me. I learned to take photos with a digital camera, being able to shoot like crazy and immediately see all the mistakes I’ve made. But it’s something about loading film in my camera, measure the light by hand and do my settings and focus manually and to have 16 frames before I need to reload again that has made me fall in love with my profession all over again.
These photos were taken at my first real commercial job shot with all film, about 6 months ago in Copenhagen. A collaboration between Vintage Bride (the most gorgeous wedding gowns in Scandinavia) and Jannie Baltzer (couture headpieces made by hand!) and Elizabeth at Pretty Chic Blog. Photographed with Fuji 400H and my Contax, and no editing or retouching in photoshop. Nada. I get to do what I love the most (taking pictures) and don’t have to spend hours in fron tof the computer (scoooore). These photos have been published on blogs, websites and magazines all over the world! And a few weeks ago I went down to do another shoot with these lovely ladies and I’m more excited to get those scans back than for Santa to arrive!
beautiful photos! congratulations :) the ones of the light purple skirt with the bouquet: to die for… have fun in vegas. wish I was going. sometime when my kids get older I am definitely jumping on an airplane too :)
Har precis avslutat min praktik som PR-guru hos Madelin och Maria, så jag satt en dag och gick igenom dessa bilder. Dom é bara SÅ underbara! Man vill lixom VA bruden i bilderna! En av mina favoritbilder var dock den där Ebbe ligger med tassarna på bordet och stirrar på tårtan :) Jag skulle gärna vilja ha dom där klänningarna, bilen, butlern och brudgummen… ;)
