Wedding in Connecticut (USA) with [B]ecker

I’ve been back from my little trip to NYC for a while now and it has been so crazy I haven’t had time to tell you all what an awesome time I had! My first few days can be described in only one word, Becker. Becker is an amazing, kick-ass, and hilarious wedding photographer from OC, CA. I meet him when he and Jessica Claire held a workshop in Sweden and I got to third shoot for him at a wedding in CT. The night before I was so nervous, giant butterflies rocked my belly and kept me awake. Little me shooting with Becker?! It’s like hanging out with Einstein or listening to some music with Mozart. The two days of shooting went by (too) fast and I had the BEST time ever! I learn sooo much, Becker is a real pro - made everybody (including a very nervous Alicia) feel relaxed and start laughing instead.

If you attended Becker’s workshop in Sweden (or somewhere else) and wonder if he really practice what he preach - oh, YES! I had a blast with Becker but it was a humbling experience. He’s THAT good.

Becker - thank you, thank you, thank you. I know I had a great time. :) And a BIG hug to Keats (Becker’s drop dead gorgeous girlfriend and second shooter) she helped me be in the right place at the right time and not to make a total fool of myself.

Here’s a few of my pictures from the wedding but be sure to check out Becker’s photo’s here (link)!

My BFF

This Saturday Raoul and I celebrated our 5 - year aniversary, I can’t belive how fast time goes by and still I can’t remember my life without him. He’s my family, the love of my life and my best friend. I miss him like crazy when we are apart and I feel the best when around him.

Sunday was my only day off and I asked if we could just relax so first he let me sleep in, then made my favorite dessert FOR BREAKFAST, then we went on a picnic down by the water in central Stockholm - took a dip in the (ice cold) water, relaxed in the sun and ate ice cream. Afterward we went home and barbecued. What a perfect day, what a perfect boyfriend.

Road Trip

After my trip to NYC and shooting a couple of wedding over there my urge to do more destination weddings is skyhigh! So if you are planning a wedding in Europe, Africa, the US or anywhere else in the world let me know - right now I have a great deal for you…!! I love to travel and lucky me ´cause in the next three days I’ll be in three different cities - first of Copenhagen, Denmark, then Gothenburg, Sweden and this saturday Västerås! Sunday I plan to enjoy this fabulous weather we’re having with my phone off the hook but Monday I’ll be back in business again. Happy weekend!

Adam & Therese

Saturday June 13th, probably the most rainy day in history. It was pouring, all day. Never stoped. I admit, it was wet but not the cold kind - more the cozy kind. I actually loved the contrast between the rain outside and all the warmth inside at Adam and Therese’s wedding. Laughter and hugs all day long. The ceremony was held in Djur church and afterwards a boat ride over to Wermdö Golf Club for the reception.

Adam & Therese - thank you so much for inviting me to document your (wet) day! You are my all time rain heros. Love, A

Midsummers Eve

I absolutely love this time of year in Sweden, the light is stunning and I love staying up all night long and it never gets real dark. Midsummer (which also was my birthday, yay!) was no exception and we celebrated it with the bestest of friends, lots of strawberries, sauna and beer.

(these photos were taken at 11 pm and ISO 250, pretty neat huh?)

Sung-Kyu & Carola

First of all go here and press “play” and then continue reading this post…

A few weeks ago I shoot Sung-Kyu and Carolas wedding in Djursholm. All my weddings a special to me but this will always have a special place in my heart since I love music and this wedding was all about the music. Well, to start off with the weather was perfect, Carola was so beautiful and Sung-Kyu (who had told me he didn’t really smile in photos) couldn’t stop smiling! The priest was charming and for the blessing he had written a song for Sung-Kyu and Carola that he sang to them during the ceremony.  And apperently the entire wedding party could sing beautifully and sang a bunch of wonderful songs to the couple. As the final song they sang “Hallelujah” by Milk and Honey when all the guests walked out of the curch and on the final “Haalleluujaaaaah…” the newlyweds came out on the stairs! Not only did I get goosebumps but I cried, alot. I have no words to describe this wedding but magical.

Reloaded

I’m reloaded and my camera batteries are reloaded and I’m ready to go, again. Today I’m shooting the wedding of Emil & Moni. We actually met for the first time this friday (since they booked me through email) but we really got to know eachother over lunch and then took some pictures. I know they have a very personal ceremony planned, I love personal weddings! Let’s hope the rain will stop though, only between 2-2.30 pm ’cause it’s a outdoor ceremony - keeping my fingers crossed!

To Värmdö

Today, while praying for some sun or at least no more rain, I’m headed out to Värmdö to shoot Adam & Therese’s wedding. This is some shoot from when we got together to go over the details and get to know eachother better. I’m super excited and loaded with inspiration from trip to NYC - it’s showtime!

Back in (rainy) Sweden

I had a blast during my trip to NYC! I met so many nice people, I had so much good food (too much if you ask my waist - skittles, chipotle, pizza, socca, starbucks’ caramel apple spice…) and fell deeply in love with the city’s heart beat! I’ll tell you all about it soon, right now I have to start answering the +500 emails in my inbox and get ready for my photo shoot tonight. These next couple of weeks are going to be crazy so please have patience with me… :)
