Summer is a crazy time of the year for me, I try to balance tons of weddings and post-process work with finding time to hang out with friends and Boyfriend. Seriously, it can go days before I even see my Boyfriend in daylight eventhough we live together… I’m not going to lie, it’s hard. That’s why (amongst many reasons) I’m so glad to be part of a photography network with some of my best friends, www.weddingphotographers.se. They love wedding photography as much as I do, they struggle with the same issues and know how I feel. I just love hanging out with them, they make me happy and makes me feel strong. People like that are hard to find.
So, I’m sending a big cyber-kiss to Jenny, Anna, Erika, Linda and Lieselotte – I’m so blessed to have you girls as friends! ♥

Cupcakes, sun and Anna!

Left on todays “to do”-list is only one thing – pack! Pack for a week filled with photography, Babycakes gluten free cupcakes, SPF 50 and best of all unlimited time with my best friend Anna!! In California, baby! Whoot, whoot!! I’m back in the office on Monday July 26rd and since I plan to relax a bit when we’re not working I won’t reply to emails until I’m back (if urgent, send me a text: +46(0)70-898 66 96 and I’ll get back to you ASAP). Oh, and I pre-set a few blog entrees while I’m gone so make sure to check in here once and a while… Bye!!!! ♥

Ronnie is from Stockholm and Nicole lives in the windy city Chicago, they first met when they where paired up in the bridal party at the wedding of mutual friends and now they are engaged. (I know, it sounds like a fairytale!) In June next year they will get married in Minneapolis, MN and a few days ago we shoot their engagement photos here in Stockholm.

The moment I met the Goshn family I got a warm loving feeling inside – I instantly knew I would like them, a lot. Especially Sean and little Liam, just look how cute they are! Although, photography might not be their favorite thing to do… It took a lot of persuading, singing, standing on one leg, saying “tada” and lots of soap bubbles to make the little sweethearts happy. Both from me and their very patient parents, but I think we did it… ;)

Being a wedding photographer is great, I love love love my job. But it can be quite challenging to always have to perform, be inspired and do my very best every single shoot. It can be lonely with no collegues and always working on those summer Saturdays when all your friends are sitting in the sun sipping wine. And I won’t even start talking about when I have to explain to my boyfriend that I have to work until midnight, again. So, about a year ago, I started to regularly meet up with some fellow wedding photographers here in Stockholm and it has become my light in the dark, the cherry on my ice cream sundae. We meet and talk, about everything. Photography, entrepreneurship, challenging venues, our favorite lenses, boyfriends who miss us… So, we decided to launch www.weddingphotographers.se! We are still six different photographers, with six different styles and six different companies. But it’s a place for people who want to get to know us all better, or for our boyfriends if they want a reminder of what we look like! ;)

I love to meet new people, especially photographers. ‘Cause I have to admite, we are kind of special. We can run around for hours searching for the perfect light, we get super excited over a super sharp image and we say goofy things to make our clients smile. That’s why it was so fun to photograph Louise the other day, she’s also a wedding photographer and needed some new photos for her website. We walked around together and found just stunning light, we both “awwwwhh”:ed when we previewed an image taken at 1.2 and she laughed, alot. Passing people must have wondered what was wrong with us, but we where just two photographers having fun the “photography”-way! :)

So I went a little bananas during the part below, but she’s so cute that I just had to show you all these photos…

Olof & Hana – New York City engagement session

Remember the cute SDT (Save the date) I got a few months ago – well this is the kind couple behind it: Olof & Hana. When I went to New York City I met up with them to shoot their engagement session, and the first thing Hana does – gives my an entire bag filled with gluten free bars! She already figured out that the way into this photographers heart is through the belly. :) We had a lovely evening strolling around the beautiful sunset light and I’m so excited to shoot their wedding this summer. Just look at them – cute, funny and with big ♥s. How can the wedding be anything but fabulous?!

I was stocked when we came up on Brooklyn Bridge – look at the light!! I love that city…
