Save the date from NYC

Just recieved this wonderful “save the date” from Hana and Olof in NYC who’s wedding I’m shooting this summer. A cute “STD”, gluten free snacks (yummy!) and a personal little ♥-note. Seriously, how sweet?! Thank you, thank you, thank you – you made me smile although you are on the other side of the world. Can’t wait to shoot your wedding, we are going to have sooo much fun!

I know a few people are going to think “that-girl-is-nuts”, some might even force me to help them shovel but I don’t mind because I really l.o.v.e. all the snow in Stockholm right now. It makes the city bright, I love the creaking sound from walking in the snow and when those days when the sun comes out I just want to drink hot coco and make snow angels all day long! That was the kind of weather I was hoping for when Mikeal and Anna got married at City Hall but insted we got a major snostorm. Hey, at least there was snow! Seriously, I can’t even try to describe how cold and windy it was. I wore my skipants, warmest coat I own, hat, glows, scarf, warm boots and I was still freezing….. Anna stood in her short wedding dress. What. A. Trooper. A great thing with the snowstorm though was that we got the entire City Hall to ourselfs (ok, besides a few asian tourist but they need to be there, they are a part of City Hall) and really take advantage of the arches to avoid some of the snow!

Mikael and Anna – you will always be my “Frosty Snowmen”-couple. Thank you so much for posing and having some fun with me even despite the weather. ♥

This little charming boy is 7 months old Felix. Turns out Felix and I have one big thing incommon – we both l.o.v.e. dogs! And we both agreed that Felix’s dog Pixie definitely should be in a few images. And Pixie didn’t mind. She didn’t even mind when Felix pulled her ear. Now that’s love. ♥

*side note* Yes, I did try to kidnap Pixie when I left (as I do with every dog I meet) but she was a little bit to big to fit in my camera bag. Unfortunally. Note to myself: get a bigger camera bag.

Some moments I will never forget – the day I moved to Stockholm without a penny in my pocket, the day I spotted a georgeous guy (way out of my league) across the room whom now is my BF and the day I recieved an email from Jocey at The Wedding Chicks who let me know they wanted to feature Carl and Katerina’s russian destination wedding on weddingchicks.com! I started jumping up and down, cried (tears of joy), laughed, jumped a bit more, cried again… T.h.a.t.s. how happy I am. I have never been featured on a wedding blog before and I couldn’t more thrilled or more honored that my debut is on The Wedding Chicks. If you haven’t visit before you should definatly head over to their blog, it’s filled with awsome ideas to make your wedding unique and fabulos. ♥

I’m coming to Larvik, Norway

A few months ago I got an invation that I spontenously wanted to turn down, my mind went “why-on-earth-would-they-want-mini-me-to-come-what-can-I-possibly-have-to-say-that-is-worth-listening-to”. Then I realised (after pounding it into my head for a few days) they want me to tell my story from my point of view. And if anyone want to listen or only one single person learn something from it – then I’m all up for it. So I’m so happy, no thrilled, to announce that I’ll be attending NFF’s Landsmøte i Larvik, Norway April 12-14th 2010 and hosting something one could call a “mini”-workshop. I will give a short seminare but we will also divide into smaller groups and do a mock wedding photoshoot. The location looks a-hu-mazing and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the sun will join us. I’ll show you how I try to rock my camera and what I think about during a photoshoot, you’ll see me “in action” and you will get the oppotunity to work with the same models, in the same light and at the same location. And you get to ask me anything you want – what chocolate I prefer, what my dream shoes would look like or something photography related…

I’m excited but also so nervous – what if nobody shows up?! Yikes! What if I have nobody to talk to and I’ll stand there all by myself? P-p-p-please, come. I promise we’ll have sooo much fun! So head over and read all about the Landsmøte here!

Patrik & Anna-Karin wedding at Strömsholms slott / bröllopfotograf strömsholms slott

I’ve been longing for Patrik and Anna-Karin’s wedding a long time, not only did I want to have some fun with my camera again (winter has been to long and to dark) but I also knew that the couple are kind and fabulos – how could one not be excited? So, a v.e.r.y cold winter day they finally got married at Strömsholms slott. Patrik and Anna-Karin were amazing and didn’t complain once when I brought them outside to take the portraits and let me tell you – it was freezing. They were troopers, georgeous troopers. Hot chocolate welcomed the guest, Steve Wonders “signed, sealed, delivered” played at the end of the ceremony and a horse and carriage took the newlyweds to the reception. And snow, lots of snow. A perfect winter wedding.

I want to give a very warm hug to my sweet friend Kristen who came all the way from Amsterdam, Holland to second shoot with me at this wedding. She is not only a fabulos photographer but she is a wonderful friend who I admire alot and I am blessed to have her in my life. Thank you ♥.

I am blessed. I really am. In every day life I sometimes tend to focus on my “less-blessed” things – such as my wheat allergy (no Ben’n'Jerry’s or donuts for me) or that my feet are different sizes and it’s hard to find shoes that fit them both… But when it all comes down to it donuts aren’t healthy and shoes aren’t healthy either (to my economy that is). But I am blessed with the best BF in da wooorld and some amazing friends. I love them, so much. I also want to send some love out to all my blog readers around the world and wish you a fabulous valentine’s day 2010!

This is me, my BF and two of our best friends during new years – they guys built an igloo and invited us girls in for “Vargtass” (=swedish drink with vodka and lingonberry juice)! Wonderful moments that makes my heart smile. ♥
