Time for my New York couple to tie the knot!

It’s Saturday again which means another wedding! Time flies by and it’s now time for my New York-couple Olof and Hana to tie the knot. They are the sweetest couple, they send me gluten free bars from Whole Foods (major bonus points) and their STD and invitation looks stunning – can’t wait! Jennifer Davis – New York Wedding Photographer

Internet is such an amazing thing! I don’t know what I would have done without it but I do know that my business would never have been what it is today without the love from the world wide web. That’s how I got to know Jennifer Davis. She’s a wedding photographer in New York City and such a sweet heart. Just so genuin caring, you just want to hug her. And such a professional photographer – seeing her in action was amazing. She and her second shoother Jenny Boyle was a great team, I sometimes though they could read eachothers minds. Impressive.

Olof & Hana – New York City engagement session

Remember the cute SDT (Save the date) I got a few months ago – well this is the kind couple behind it: Olof & Hana. When I went to New York City I met up with them to shoot their engagement session, and the first thing Hana does – gives my an entire bag filled with gluten free bars! She already figured out that the way into this photographers heart is through the belly. :) We had a lovely evening strolling around the beautiful sunset light and I’m so excited to shoot their wedding this summer. Just look at them – cute, funny and with big ♥s. How can the wedding be anything but fabulous?!

I was stocked when we came up on Brooklyn Bridge – look at the light!! I love that city…

Anthony Vazquez – NYC wedding photographer

While in NYC it got the amazing opportunity to tag along with one of the best wedding photographers out there – Anthony Vazquez. He is one of the most open hearted, generous and hilarious photographer I have ever met. That’s probably why he gets to shoot fabulos weddings all over the world, and does it beautifully. Really, he turns every single bride into a super model! Make sure to check out his portfolio on his website: www.anthonyvazquez.com and don’t forget to also head over to www.theclicknation.com where you can get to know Anthony even better and learn more about his workshop etc. Wouldn’t it be awsome if we could convince him to come to Sweden and do a workshop for us Scandinavians?! I’m back, unfortunally. ;) I wish I could have stayed in New York forever, I really love that city and I feel right at home between the high buildings and yellow taxi cabs. And I won’t even start talking about how much fun it is to photograph in that city! I have tons of pictures to go through and eventually blog, but first a have some (read: tons) of emails to go through… But here’s a few sneak peaks on what’s to come:

A thank you card worth waiting for

In the end of June I had the honor of shooting Carl & Katerina’s (swedish) wedding at Fullerö Herrgård outside Västerås. And in September I got to photograph their (russian) wedding in Moscow Russia. I knew the Russian wedding would be something different because the theme was Karl XII meets Katerina The Great but I really had no idea what I was about to experience. Arriving at the airport (with my sweet friend and awsome second shooter Anna) we were greated by a personal driver with an enlargement of one of my pictures from their Swedish wedding (all the guests was greated this way). At the hotel we had champagne, russian sweets and a free mini-bar in our hotel rooms! (Phew, the hard life as a wedding photographer…) And, they had also made a magazine about their Swedish wedding. With my images everywhere. Crazy!

The day of the wedding, we woke up to find they decorated the intire hotel with lifesize enlargements of my photos from their swedish wedding. Where ever I looked, I saw my own images. Strange feeling. The wedding day was incredible (to see the photos click here), Anna and I worked from early morning ’til 3 am that day. (Then we had an hour to download images before we had to head to the airport to fly back to sweden and shoot another wedding the next day.) Crazy! Again!

So the other day, I recieved a package in the mail – Carl & Katerina’s thank you card. Or should I say, thank you magazine. Becausse they actually made an entire magazine from their 4 day Russian wedding. Filled with photos and gossip! I’m speachless. Honestly, how amazing! ♥

Wedding photography in Connecticut (USA) with [B]ecker

I’ve been back from my little trip to NYC for a while now and it has been so crazy I haven’t had time to tell you all what an awesome time I had! My first few days can be described in only one word, Becker. Becker is an amazing, kick-ass, and hilarious wedding photographer from OC, CA. I meet him when he and Jessica Claire held a workshop in Sweden and I got to third shoot for him at a wedding in CT. The night before I was so nervous, giant butterflies rocked my belly and kept me awake. Little me shooting with Becker?! It’s like hanging out with Einstein or listening to some music with Mozart. The two days of shooting went by (too) fast and I had the BEST time ever! I learn sooo much, Becker is a real pro – made everybody (including a very nervous Alicia) feel relaxed and start laughing instead.

If you attended Becker’s workshop in Sweden (or somewhere else) and wonder if he really practice what he preach – oh, YES! I had a blast with Becker but it was a humbling experience. He’s THAT good.

Becker – thank you, thank you, thank you. I know I had a great time. :) And a BIG hug to Keats (Becker’s drop dead gorgeous girlfriend and second shooter) she helped me be in the right place at the right time and not to make a total fool of myself.
