what would you call you ”style” of photography?
my style is me, it’s how I see the world. I’m not a photojournalist because I like the possibility to tweek a bit to make sure the bride puts on her gown in the most flattering light, or helping my couple find a pose to make them look the most beatufiul. However, I also perfer my photos to look ”non”-posed and I love capture natural moments such as loving look and a spur of the moment kiss as they occure. I also make sure to capture the details to tell the complete story of the wedding day. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and I’ve created my style! :)
where are you based? do you travel?
sometimes it feels like I’m based in my suitcase! ;) But that’s not a bad thing, I love to travel and I love to photograph and whenever I get to combine those things I’m in seventh heaven! I’v photographed weddings in Sweden, South Africa, India, Brasil, France, USA, Italy, Russia and I can’t wait to explore the rest of the world – so whereever you are getting married, send me an email! (Best of all – full day weddings outside sweden get a complimary engagement or day-after shoot!) When I’m not eating airplane food I stuff my belly with swedish meetballs in my Stockholm-appartment.
so you are swedish? how come you write in english?
yepp, I’m a swedish country gal born and raised on a farm in the middle of nowhere! My website is in english because almost all my clients are from abroad and I want everyone to feel included! But if you want to write me in swedish or get info or my prices in swedish – just send me an email!
can we give you a shot list of photographs we want you to take?
beside the list of family and groupshoots – no. i’d love to know of any special or significant moments during the day but working of a ”check”-list will prevent me from doing the work you’ve seen on my website – relaxed and natural moments.
if we run overtime, will you stay?
if possiblem yes! i have what i call ”emergency”-hours, they are 6 000 sek each goes into effect only with your permission and approval that i continue coverage.
do we need to feed you at the reception?
if i work 7 hours or more that would be lovely! it would ensure you a happy photographer that doesn’t die from starvation. It doesn’t have to be the fancy food that you’ll be having but it does have to be 100% naturally gluten and wheat free. and preferably when you eat your main course, so when you are done i am also done and can continue my coverage.
do you use any lighting equipment?
i l.o.v.e. natural light, especially the yummy soft golden rays right before sunset and I always try to work with the couple to make sure the schedule will give us the best light possible during ceremony and portraits. After sunset and when necessary I do use some simple lighting equipment.
can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras? will that bother you?
as a natural light photographer it always affects we when people fire a flash right when I take a photo or when I take a photo of the parents and i can’t see their expression becuase they always have a camera infront of their face. but sometimes, such as during the ceremony, i wish people would just leave their cameras alone and enjoy the precious moments as the occur. you will get all photos from me and you are more than welcome to share them with you guest!
do you do engagement sessions?
absolutly! it’s not included in my wedding packages but can be added along with bodouir- and day-after shoots!
how long does it take to get our images after the shoot?
since I photograph film the post-process is a bit different – the rolls of film will be sent to my lab, developed and scanned. This takes about 6-8 weeks. But on the other hand, once that is done the photos are ready for delivery. No photoshopping is neccesary when shooting film and you will get your photos right away!
how many pictures will we get?
it all the depends but the client ususally recieve about 75 images per photographed hour.
do we get to keep the negatives?
absolutly! They are yours to keep as well as a cd with all the negatives scanned in high resolution – it’s included in all my packages.
how does the album design process work?
about 6-8 weeks after the wedding you’ll get all you negatives and scanned photos on a cd. from there you’ll choose which photos you want included in your album, send me a list and I’ll have my album designer get working on you personal layout. you’ll get to view the album online and make changes if you want before I send it of to the printer.
an album designer – why don’t you design the albums yourself?
well, because I am a photographer. what I do very best is to take photos. sure I could throuh together a layout but I want my clients to have the very best and my album designer is the very best – therefore she gets to do it!
yay, we want to book you as our photographer – how does it work?
most people book me about a year before their wedding, some dates are more popular so hurry up and grab yours! a booking is completed when a photography agreement as been signed.
can you ”hold” a date for me?
i’m so sorry but I can’t hold the date or pencil you in. to be fair to everyone I can’t “hold” a date without a signed contract.
i wanted to book you but I’m so last minute – will you be available?
some dates, especially Saturdays May-September goes quickly but you never know – I might be available! Send me an email and keep you fingers crossed, if I’m already booked I have a great networks of fellow photographers who I can recomend from the bottom of my heart.
i would luuuuv to have you as my wedding photographer but you are tiny bit over my budget – can we work something out?
in my packages you’ll find high and low season prices. High season is Saturdays from the third weekend of May until end of September, low season is every other day including Sunday-Saturday during the summer. why not have a friday wedding? i know guests don’t mind taking a half day of to attend a wedding + you’ll have a better chance of getting the venue and vendors you want! or get hitched on a Sunday! ceremony at 11, a big lunch at noon and start partying right after that. people will be home early so they can get a good nights sleep and go to work Monday morning! perfect weither you want a big party, a relaxed barbeque or a low key picnic with your guests. over just have a spring, fall or winter wedding. all of the above will give you my special ”low season”-rates!
